Alloy Wheels

Car tires really start shining the moment you combine them with a handsomely polished pair of aluminum alloy rims. Whether it is summer or winter, alloy wheels are a great fit during any season and on every car. If you happen to own both summer and winter tires, you will be able to juggle the visual style of your car each season, with each tire change. There are many chic rim designs, from classically elegant to trendy bicolor and powder-coated models. You can order top-of-the-line aluminum alloy products from well-known rim manufacturers. In the other category of rims, the steel rims from Alcar round our offer out – however, the trends are clearly favoring secondary alloy rims.

If a car owner happens to have a single set of rims, they will have to refit the tires whenever the weather changes.

Wheel Balancing

Canby Tires centers have the latest automotive equipment for wheel alignment and balancing. As their fitting, the balancing of your tires should be done by a professional.

Before placing the weights, your Canby Tires expert will mount the tire with the valve opposite to the marking on the tire, if there is one. This marking indicates the heaviest side of the tire. The valve being the heavier of the rim, it already creates a first balance that limits the number of tires to mount.

The shots are then placed using a machine that turns the wheel and detects imbalances. The location of the pellets is indicated by laser beams. The center of gravity must be perfectly centered in the rotation axis.

Wheels Alignment

Wheel alignment consists of adjusting the angle of the wheels to make them parallel to each other and perpendicular to the ground. This operation is intended to prevent too much friction or the premature wear of tires or suspension.

Wheel alignment is the adjustment of three elements: camber, toe, and caster.

  • Camber adjustment: seen from the front of the vehicle, the specialist adjusts the inward or outward angles of the tire.
  • Toe adjustment: seen from above, the angle identifies the exact direction the tires are pointed compared to the centerline of the vehicle.
  • Caster adjustment: seen from the side, this angle identifies the forward or backward slope of a line drawn through the upper and lower steering pivot points.

Brakes

Our team at All Tires provide a professional brake fitting and replacement service to car and commercial vehicle owners.

When it comes to safety, no part of your vehicle is more important than the brakes. They should be inspected at least once a year to determine the condition of the hydraulic system and operating hardware.

While the entire braking system requires attention, the friction components (pads, shoes, rotors and drums) require constant attention because they wear down each time you apply your brakes.

Whether you are looking to replace your brake discs and pads or would just like them tested, our experienced engineers are available to ensure that your car is up and running again as soon as possible.  Have a check below and familiarise yourself with common brake issues!

Tire Pressure Monitoring Systems (TPMS)

The purpose of the TPMS (Tire Pressure Monitoring System) is to alert you when tire pressure is too low and could create unsafe driving conditions. If the light is illuminated, it means your tires could be underinflated, which can lead to undue tire wear and possible tire failure. It’s important to understand the importance of proper tire inflation, and how TPMS can help you avoid a dangerous situation.

Both overinflation and underinflation can cause premature treadwear and possible tire failure. Overinflation can result in decreased traction, premature wear, and the inability to absorb road impact. Overinflated tires will show premature wear in the center of the tread. On the other hand, underinflation will cause sluggish tire response, decreased fuel economy, excessive heat buildup, and tire overload. An underinflated tire will show premature wear on both sides of the tread edges or “shoulders”.

Heading out on a trip and noticed a tire on our truck was flat. Decided to give these guys a try and am so happy we did. Not only did we get to skip the two hour wait at Schwabs, these guys were fast, efficient, and affordable. They made sure to even check out other tires before sending us on our way.
